I prefer the brightness set in the mid 20s depending on my room conditions.
*Important - disable the Deep Sleep feature in the menu, sometimes it bugs out and makes it impossible to wake up the monitor without powering off your computer and unplugging the monitor to reset the power.
Also check your panel closely for dead/stuck pixels and excessive backlight bleed. My first one of these bought several months ago had horrible uniformity on one side, the exchanged one is almost perfect.

Before this sale, I hadn't seen it go below about $450 before. Dell MSRP is like $600 on this thing. (Not that it ever sold for that...) This is a good deal!

I got this mid year for $350 at Best Buy. Very happy with it. If I could, I would buy a second one

I am so impressed with the display, I am considering buying another one at $350 before tax. The colors are incredible for a TN panel. If you are on the fence, grab one and look up a color profile for the settings, you won't be disappointed. The gsync is awesome if you have a gtx 1070 or better
I don't think this monitor is worth it unless you have a Nvidea card, or plan to buy one soon. Otherwise you can probably grab something cheaper and IPS.

Need some advice. How does this compare to Alienware - AW2518H 25" LED FHD GSync Monitor? I have the Alienware but it's couple of inches smaller and 1080p. I'll have the GTX 1070 shortly.

So jealous!!!!
I would grab this dell, I love playing on this thing, been eating it up all weekend.
It's still a lot of money to spend, especially if you have to buy a card too. So take that into consideration. And you already have a decent monitor, maybe spend the money on a 2070 or a 1070ti and buy an even better monitor in the spring.
Edit: it also depends on the type of games you play, the higher refresh rate of the AW2518H is better for competive FPS games, but for casual single player games and esport games, the Dell 144Hz is more than capable, and I certainly enjoy the extra size and resolution.
