For a small footprint with the 3.5" woofers, this is an excellent pair of computer/general use speakers. Because they are designed as reference monitors, they produce sound very faithfully and will have a much flatter response than most popular media or computer speakers on the market, which usually heavily EQ for a sound that will appeal to most people. The Mackie CR3 at a similar price is too bass boosted and not as clear in the midrange and treble. There is a review here: https://fr.audiofanzine.com/encei...-poil.html and a comparison video here: https://youtu.be/MoCG-6y1YOQ. I purchased this set when it was initially released to replace my Bose Companion 2 Series III which had too much mid-upper bass and greatly drowned out the midrange and part of the treble. Overall, if you're looking for a compact pair of speakers for your computer or general music listening, the Eris E3.5 is an excellent choice that closely reproduces the sound that was originally recorded in the studio.
Ty OP, just tossed out my 12 year old pair yesterday. Sometimes SD gets you exactly what you're looking for.

I have the Eris E4.5 that I bought after I was very disappointed with a pair of Edifiers that performed poorly in the high frequencies. Couldn't be more happy with them. I use them as a pair of computer speakers and paired them with some subs left over from my old Altec 2100 system. Sounds surprisingly good.
I have these drivers and love them. 2 years going strong. Presonus is a good brand/company, and they make some pro audio stuff for guitars, like preamps, mixers, etc. I have a chromecast audio plugged into the headphone jack, and send the sound in that way. nice standby feature where the amp powers down when not in use. They sound great for their size. very accurate sound, and surprisingly good on the bass for 3.5 inch drivers. As far as features, I think they have a slight edge over the comparable offering from Mackie.

Agreed. Hard for such small drivers to produce anything in the low frequency range.
I've been using the 4.5" for the past six months - extremely accurate sound, with crisp vocals. They're powered, and easy to plug and play.
