This was $150 last year around the same time. I am wondering if I should pull the trigger.

I'm not sure – I know that previously they had a deal on the megamax 17' and it came with a work platform. I bought one with that deal and I've used it a bunch since then.
That work platform, I think they call it the air deck, is really handy to have, like when I'm clearing out my gutters. I don't think I would buy this 22 foot one without it.

It's a great ladder. Light weight and super easy to use. The work platform is also on sale on Amazon for $24. Would recommend!

Exactly what I'm thinking. Less than a pound heavier and $60 cheaper. Normally I favor Costco for ability to return. I'm pretty sure I'll know within a week of I want to keep it or not.

Open to hear comments on why this ladder is better though.

If you guys are on the edge of pulling the trigger... do it. This this is so handy around the house. I too got this when they offered the AirDeck with it on a Costco deal.

Does anybody have an opinion on how the two ladders compare -- the one from Home Depot vs. Costco?

I bought the 22' Gorilla from HD and the 22' Little Giant from Costco and compared. I like the Little Giant, and decided to keep that. Overall, it's just the better built product. You can tell the Gorilla ladder had to take a few shortcuts to get to the cheaper price point. With that said, that doesn't mean the Gorilla is a bad ladder.

Here's why *for me* it's worth the $60 premium to keep the LG:

1. Ladder steps are joined to the frame via welds on the LG. The gorilla uses rivets. Welds are also covered with little orange plastic guards which is a nice touch.

2. Ladder steps on the LG look beefier. The steps on the Gorilla appear to be just folded strips of metal.

3. Rocker side latches on the LG are more ergonomic than the circular latches on the Gorilla.

4. LG is made in the USA. Gorilla is made in China.

Finally, this LG model from Costco has wheels but does NOT include the individual leg levellers that you see on some higher priced LG models. Hope that helps.
