Damn I think I just paid 144 for the 1tb one from hp. Is this one about the same. The motherboard I have has 3 m2 slots so wondering if I should add a few of these and then a traditional hd for storage.

Alright, that's what I figured. I keep seeing posts with M.2 and then I click on it and sometimes see the normal SATA SSD and sometimes NVMe. The titles need to be more clear on form factor.

Ahh yes you are correct. I have not built a computer in 6 years so before building it I had to catch up on the current tech.
May be good to do before dropping more $$ on hardware

So the M.2 form factor can be 2.5 or PCI express NVM?
It's either PCI express or 2.5 that matter in terms of where the storage fits under the hood?

M.2 can be NVMe or SATA.
