There's a point at which it just stops being worth spending more... the better NVMe drives (970 pro, 970 evo, this EX920, etc) are all in the same realm of performance and will hard to pick apart without extensive benchmarking (i.e. side-by-side shootouts). Very few people would notice *any* difference between different NVMes.

15-16 cents per gigabyte and NVMe performance is phenomenal - this is unprecedented SSD storage+performance per dollar.
State of Connecticut gave them the choice to collect tax or hand over order history so the state could go after people. Newegg chose to sell out their customers.

Would you rather them not collect, and instead sell out out to your state to collect back-taxes?
Newegg has been collecting tax in california for like a decade because that's where they're headquartered. I'm not saying he's talking about connecticut, I was asking if he'd rather they didn't collect tax, then proceed to provide his purchase history for his state to collect back taxes on..

How do you know he's talking about Connecticut? I think most people bitching about NE collecting taxes (like me) are in California.

I'd rather we go back to good old days of not paying out of state taxes and then I want NE to move their headquarters to middle of nowhere in the Bible belt where no one knows wtf NE is anyway. :-) But that's just me.

I understand what you were saying, I was just asking how you figured out he's from Connecticut.

Newegg has been collecting taxes for as long as I can remember. I was only stating that so the final price would be known.

those are pretty decent. not as fast as 960 evo or the WD black, but does the job.
btw, raid those nvme does little to improve the performance. i RAID 0 3 of those disks and only obtained minor performance increase on some tests, but reduced performance in other tests.

if you looking for speed, got the 960/970 evo or WD black. because you just won't be able to catch their performance by RAIDing.

Honestly can't tell the difference between my old 850 pro ssd. Although very glad that I no longer have to split up data between an SSD and platter drive.

I bought this HP during BF. Works great, but one could easily save a few bucks and go sata. With day to day stuff, games, and occasional Photoshop and premiere work, I'm pretty hard pressed to tell the difference between this and my old 850 Evo (sata), which on paper is many times slower.

In for one. Thanks OP.

No tax in NY. My 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SATA M.2 was near full already and I just bought Photoshop and Premier. Good timing.
