Target has the KidKraft Ultimate Corner Play Kitchen with Lights & Sounds - Espresso color for $149.99 - $25 Coupon (applied at checkout) = $124.99 with free shipping. Shipping times may vary, but mine is showing that it will arrive on Dec. 20th, just in time for Christmas.

I've been keeping an eye on this for a while hoping it would go on sale before Christmas. Last BF it did drop down to $114 on amazon, but that was a limited supply and it hasn't been anywhere close to that price since. Retail is $299 but it normally sells for $180 on Amazon, so this ends up being about 30% off the normal price.

There are a handful of other models [target.com] available at a discounted price which are also eligible for the $25 off $100. As far as I can tell, ordering today will ensure that you still get the kitchen by the 21st, in time for Christmas. Some great deals in there if you were looking for a play kitchen for your little ones.

Stalk the rich neighborhood thrift stores. You'll feel better about your purchase. As far as this price is concerned, I feel it's average. I'd buy it at 50 bucks.

Your feeling is counter intuitive to the actual price research provided by tracking sites, evidenced by CCC and summarized in my post. Interesting point of view in terms of buying used, though not something I would personally do, to each their own. Giving my kid used toys for Christmas is not a situation I find myself in.

I feel you. But MSRP is bulls--t when it comes to prices. Inflated to make people feel good about actual worth. Because let's face facts, if they can sell it at this price it's probably worth a lot less. All I know is products like this don't get the use out of them you'd expect as a parent because interest level dwindles faster than expected. In a couple of years someone else will benefit from your $125 purchase when you donate it or sell it on CL.
