LG 55 C8 OLED 4K Smart TV $1549

Not as good as the Black Friday price on the B8 or the E8 last week but still a solid deal. Also I got a price match from Best Buy as it is sold and shipped by New Egg.

I don't know why everybody keeps saying BestBuy covers burn and because they do not cover burn in on OLED TVs if the manufacture does not cover burn in then neither will BestBuy end of story

FYI, Newegg is not an authorized retailer for LG oled TVs.

I never said that in the post and don't know what posts your referencing. Best Buy told me they cover it with if you buy their geek squad warranty.

They denied my claim because there warranty clearly states that they only cover Burnin if the manufacturer covers Burnin. And it states that clearly in the terms and conditions the guy peoples I BestBuy often aren't up-to-date with terms and conditions I warranties. Looks like it was something they changed about two and a half years ago slightly longer maybe didn't go further back to check

Yes I believe they were last year at least. The assumption is they lost authorized status due to their marketplace sellers.

Oh and never said you did I just wanted to put that out there on my latest post so people looking would see. Because I would consider it imperative information because very few people and BestBuy even know that until you talk to a manager over a warranty claim or try to file one. And for the cost and length of their warranties I personally would just stick with the 2-year LG warranty and then maybe get an additional SquareTrade. best 3rd party warranty for OLED. though if you did buy a Sony according to their generic warranty on all their TVs they cover burnin for 2 years as well as everything else as long as it's not open box

I know the OLED picture is the best, but is it really worth the money?

For me it is. I had a plasma before this so I was used to the black levels. This is the only TV type that has come close since they discontinued plasmas.

For me know it isn't not with the the risk of Burnin know if a warranty can eliminate that then I'll purchase I plan on keeping this TV for a minimum of five years if not 7 to 10 and judging from my brothers plasma Samsung 8000 series and how that picture has faded it did leave it on a lot because at one point it would not display a picture until it was on for an hour. In less than a year the picture had faded dramatically he was leaving at on for 8 hours a day though
