Purchased gift cards in store on 1/1. Just checked and saw the 30% staples offer status changed to redeemed via chase app. Waiting to see the max $19 to show up on credit history
Not happy. Had both offers and it looks like it redeemed at 10% and not 30%. Would not have bought the items if it was going to go at 10%.
Can you return the items and re-buy? The 10% offer should have expired by now. So, check your chase app to see if your 30% promotion is still "live"...
Anyway, I wanted to add my datapoint. I brought stuff ~Dec29/30 from Staples online (a chair and 2 other orders of e-giftcards), and got my email from Chase for the $19 (30% rebate, but $19 max) for all 3 of my Chase credit cards in the last 3 days. However, the credit hasn't show up yet... (Email said 14-17 business days). This is nowhere near as good as AMEX, which in my experience the last few years, sends the confirmation email within 24hr after my meet my eligibility (i.e. buy $xx from the right vendor and the charges went through), and the credit very soon after (within a day or 2)
It sucks discount is capped at 19. Didn't realize. Once it shows redeemed, how does it apply to your account?
@power_var, this has nothing to do with Chase Pay, you just use your credit card that the offer is added and registered on, then it shows up in like e a week or two
For people who used this offer (either 30% or 10%), do you get an email from chase that the offer has been used? (AMEX sends email immediately). I haven't gotten one from chase and my payment already got posted. I have 30% and bought VISA gift card worth of $200.
update: I received the $19 credit. It was posted after my statement date. From the date that I made a purchase, it took roughly 10 days for me to see the credit in my account.
Something else to consider when doing this. I purchased two items online in the same order to get myself over $60 (a $57 hard drive and a $4 pack of tape) so I could use both the $30 off $60 coupon I had along with the 30% cash back. Staples proceeded to ship the two items separately (on different days) and charge them separately to my Visa (on different days). Of course the tape shipped first, so I got a whopping 30% cash back on the tape which used up the offer. So no 30% on the hard drive. Doh!
I plan to call Chase and see if they can do anything, but I am not hopeful...

So it looks like you have to max the $19 credit in one transaction. Doh!
