May not be for everyone but Costco.com is having a promotion for $30 off these camera lights. I haven't used them but they seem like they'd blend in well and for $99.99, I'm going to give it a shot.

Features:
Dusk to Dawn Light Control
720p HD Camera with 116° and 16ft detection range
Microphone and Speaker
Bluetooth & Wi-Fi Enabled
Works with Google Assistant and Alexa

Good deal, have mine a little over 3 years now, two year with a premium subscription. The premium subscription costs more that ring but had AI for a while, not sure if Ring has AI? The AI reduces the false alarms. I like the light cameras better than the doorbells. Doorbells are too conspicuous and they are very very easy to cover the camera since the are meant to be within reaching distance.

I'm hoping the floodlights go on sale soon as well.

I have one of these and it worked great for us. Kuna app worked fine on iOS and Android, but I wasn't able to get it to integrate with the Google ecosystem very well.
Wiring up the light was far easier than a doorbell for my home, and I liked that the camera was less obvious than a Ring or Nest doorbell camera. I'd recommend.

I find it amazing that Amazon sells tons of Kuna products but doesn't support the Kuna app on its devices.

Been eyeing the floodlights too.

The AI is nice since I know if it's a person or vehicle at a glance at the notification.

I haven't found a way to use it with Blue Iris. I have other IP cameras I use, but Kuna is my first line of defense since the notifications are on point. I don't want to pull up my NVR everytime to see who it is at the door.

The flood light have been as low as $150 at Costco, but I missed that deal. Hope it goes back that low!

Yes. I have a couple Kunas at home and don't use subscription. Motion alerts, if set up, are available for 2hrs.

Our free trial is about to end. Im thinking about returning it to Costco. If they charged less I might stay on premium. How does the camera work without premium?

not a fan of cloud stuff thats been common these days for consumers who dont want to do it the right way and install POE cams. Ring, Arlo, Skybell, Nest, etc etc--all the same really.

BUT, the Kuna is a pretty polished product. ive found it to perform really well.

I questioned their subscription cost but honestly their performance/quality is better than most if not all the other cloud based security. And they seem to know it too with the high price. I think they only advertise as 720P, but a lot of manufacturers are playing with people's head advertising 1080P. The resolution is 1080P but you sure as hell are not getting high quality with the low bitrate. Kuna's 720P looks better in comparison to others advertising 1080P or at least on par. Heck, they can just upscale the resolution and claim 1080P.

These cloud base systems can never provide good quality because it relies on the cloud and higher quality will require more bandwith not just for you but for the company's storage and you know they aren't going to provide that.

Whats really nice about the kuna/maximus is most people wont even realize there is a camera because it looks like standard light fixture. And its not powered by batteries so you dont have to worry about recharging.

These still aren't for power users because i dont think there is any integration with smart homes or nvrs etc. But this is what i would recommend for average consumer.

EDIT, for those wondering you can use these without a subscription. You are just limited on how long they store your video. You pretty much have to review it within 2-3 hours I believe. And you only have limited amount of downloads of the vids each month.

It'll lose the AI functionality and instead of a weeks worth of video retention, you only get 2 weeks.

Fun fact (accurate as of 2 years ago when I first bought the premium subscription) they still keep the videos on their servers, just won't have access to it. At that time, I had an incident that requires me to reach past the 2 hours, I paid for the subscription and was able to retrieve it.
