Two things I can't find, the weight of it and the size/configuration when it is folded up for storage. Anybody?

Not everyone needs a large permanent work surface, or have the space for it.
Some need a small movable surface that's not taking up space all the time.
Also, some of the tools and skills shown in your video link may be above some skill sets.

Great video. As a working carpenter though, it's a bit of a pipe dream to spend 2 days to build a work bench with $100 worth of hardwood not to mention all the specialized tools.

It'd be nice to have his big jointer and also that mortise and tendon machine..... Maybe if I can ever retire. Until then, I'll keep using my Lerner and Gorilla aluminum benches.

Already did. Still need a small plastic one that I can easily take outside for cutting wood.

Do these collapse relatively flat (under 8" thick)? I have gearwalling in my garage because it's a relatively small garage. I don't have a dedicated work surface, but two of these that I could hang on the wall when not in use would be really nice.

Sounds great, but don't forget the expense of an extra building to store that thing and another truck to transport it from worksite to worksite. While yours is an apple to grilled cheese sandwich comparison, if you'd suggested a portable Ron Paulk [youtube.com] design instead, at least you'd still be talking fruit.

Are you able to clamp/secure any 7-1/4 or 10 in. miter saw on to these? Or just kobalt miter saws?

I was thinking that as well.
Also, his new total station design is almost complete as well.

I have the husky one and don't let someone bad mouth these... they are great. I tend to build something out of would that won't be outside and more permanent. These plastic ones are great to fold up out of the way and moves easily due to weight. Great for throwing in the car for extra table like camping OR day at the park. I tend to forget mine by leaving it outside and it has held up well... it's about 8 years or so old. I not sure about the Kolbalt one but willing to bet it's the same with slight changes on the top.

Unless you already own the nice tools shown in that video and have the expertise to build a bench like that this [harborfreight.com] is an excellent buy for the money. Sometimes it drops as low as $119.99.
