Thanks brian! yeah i went online and looked at Weber grill covers. costs nearly $50 but i know it's worth it to cover the guy. would you suggest the local hardware store be a good place to buy propane tanks? and then get it filled at a gas station?

i think the first thing i'm going to cook is flank steak. been craving it lately but cannot cook it on the terrible grills here at the apartment complex.

well, when i got my grill, it was $500. i used christmas cash and stuff. but i also bought a 10% off coupon off of ebay, so that took my total down to $450. i then opted for the weber cover, taking my price back up to $500. keep in mind, i was not an SD'er then. I've had mine 7 years, and am finding new ways to use it all the time.

yes frog, your pork can be as good as mine one day.

oh, ya know... it's kinda 6 one way, half a dozen the other with the propane tank. if you care what it looks like, go buy one from costco and have it filled. if you're more concerned with function over fashion, just get one from HD or something. it came with a tank, right?

Absolutely treat that bad boy right. Especially in this coastal environment. If you don't cover it the freaking marine layer and all of its moisture will destroy that beautiful grill. DH cleans the outside of his grill with simple green and then applies a thin layer of WD-40. The WD-40 actually wipes off any traces of rust speckling and provides a moisture barrier. Where's that billion uses for WD-40 list? laugh out loud I think we have used 1/2 of them!
