First post after years getting deals from slickdeals.
Online shows $229, but $199 in the store. Pick any tool you want (If the link doesn't work, just search "Ryobi combo" and look for the $229 ones.):

I picked up combo with impact wrench and sig saw. Self check out with no problem, just needed assistant to apply the $5 off coupon. Simply sign up Home Depot email and text message to get a $5 off coupon:

The deal is perfect for me. Will buy my first home in the next few days and recently started working on my old car.
YMMV - Not all stores have the combo, so get it before it's gone. The first store I visited didn't have, but the second one have all I need. (See my receipt below)
To check the availability of the combo, search "Ryobi P1837".

No wonder this world is f'd up.
The CEO can buy all the coats he wants. He's obviously smarter than you and can make a decent living by providing a product at a discount that you'll buy.
Or you can have a CEO at Sears and look how that's going for them
Just because someone have money doesn't mean he is smarter.
Also, the Impact Wrench isnt brushless.
Apparently they didn't make you actually fit the kit (let alone the extra tools) in the bag, because the Menard's bag I brought into the store was too small for the kit box, so I couldn't get the 15% discount.
Saving is one thing.
Return fraud is another.
Assuming you are talking about the posters that are returning one or more of the three items at the returns desk, using their receipt, I think labeling this "return fraud" is incorrect. Or, as another poster labeled it, "stealing". Some may view it as unethical, but definitely not "fraud" or "stealing".
Fraud requires the concealment of an important fact upon which the victim (HD) is meant to rely. In this case, HD lists the parsed values of the three items on the receipt. HD allows the return of any or all of the items individually. As stated above, it seems most of the posters are discussing using the HD receipt when they return parts of the package. There is no concealment; they are hiding nothing.
I am not sure why they don't, but HD could, if they chose to, place a parsed value of $0.01 on each of the free items and require the free items be returned if the kit is returned, but they don't.
Now, if you are trying to return the kit or one of the free items without a receipt for their shelf price, that could be construed as fraud, because you are concealing what you actually paid (by not producing the receipt) in an attempt to gain the difference.

HD did it the right way cuz if they mark the free items as .01. People can technically return the 3pc combo for full price.
You are correct. The cashier didn't make me put the P1837 set in the bag. I set the 3 items on the counter and let her scan them first, then showed her the bag. The 15% was taken off the top. I actually tested the set to see if it fit into the bag, but it was just a few inches too big. Good luck to others to get the set too.

Yeah, some people just have this sense of entitlement to try and basically take advantage of the companies. Too many people keep doing this and the return policies will change, not for the better for consumers.
Get off your damn soapbox jeffy. Tell mommy to go make you another sandwich. Your holier than though attitude is a load of crap.
Why don't you ask people how much they spend each year at the stores outside of this sale? Once you hit $5 grand+ each year then you can get on your soapbox. Until then, go back to playing your games in the basement.
That page with more tools on it, does it work for the 3 piece combo also?

While also taking advantage of Home Depot with your bag scam. I guess you're "entitled" to, eh?
