How about sharing all the great deals we get at shoprite here? Let's just keep this one thread until we get "bigger". Please, post your best deals.

WIKI should have all the weekly deals and we'll keep this thread just one. All are encouraged to add any coupons/deals to such. Happy Shopping!!!

we also use a lot of garlic. To save time I take out the pods and dunk them in water. Makes them easier to peel. Then make a paste with some oil and a bit of salt. You can even freeze the paste in ice cube trays.

Another way is to bake the whole garlic wrapped in foil with some oil in it.
Do you use a mortar and pestle to make the paste or what?
I love roasting heads of garlic and then removing the smooth buttery cloves and mixing in oil with rosemary and serving it instead of butter with crusty bread

Just an FYI, might want to edit this so it is a bit more confusing. Don't want it to become common knowledge and get pulled.

Just a word of wisdom with contests......it's not like coupons, they can, will, and do disqualify people, it happens, there are state & federal laws involved so it's more controlled. Some contest administrators are more thorough then others. but here are the rules:

Quote :
Limit: Each entrant may receive up to one (1) Sweepstakes entry and one (1) Instant Win Gameplay per day during the Promotion Period. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than thestated number of plays/entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrationsand logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's plays/entries and that entrant may bedisqualified.

Yes, for small quantity, I use mortar and pestle. My son loves garlic bread. He goes thru phase when he would eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If in a rush for those random requests when I don't have roasted garlic I use my mortar and pestle. For large quantity I use my blender.

Hey, maybe you'll be the one that wins the $10,000 grand prize.

For those that already won - you can win only one instant win prize, but you can keep entering anyway for extra chances at the grand prize.

I don't want anyone to have the wrong impression. My second entry is for a separate person with their own email and PP#. But I am entering from the same computer. That's why I wondered about the IP address. Anyway, hope everyone eventually gets an instant win.

Hi all, long time no post - I don't go to SR anymore since the coupon policy changed - it's just too far for me with the lack of freebies. I pass three other supermarkets and WM to get to SR and it ain't worth it anymore.

Just wanted to post that SR is having a grand opening of its new store in Stroudsburg PA on Friday morning (another 10 minutes in the wrong direction from me!). From a tiny cramped, dirty store in a questionable area to a grand Wegmans-like space in the former Bon-Ton department store at the (failing) mall, is what I've read about it.

I'll probably go, because there should at least be a free shopping bag or coupons or something, right?

But folks I know who still shop there have remarked on the fact that they're not offering any deals in the old store - which is closing Thursday night. I guess they're pulling an all-nighter to truck stuff over to the new store. Seems like an odd business strategy to me.
