Last year was no minimum purchase for the GCs for me either. Never has been for years at my store.

Same here for all the years I've done this deal. And note that when you buy your $100 in gift cards next week, you should be able to use the $20 OYNO off that purchase as well (at least I have in the past). This means that you really don't need $20 worth of groceries in order to redeem --good for me, since it would be hard for me to get an OOP for $20. The following week, however, you will need $15 worth of groceries to redeem that one.

As long as the cashier doesn't notice or care. The register allows it, but gift cards are excluded in the fine print for redeeming the OYNO, along with the usual (minimum $20 purchase excludes gift cards, milk, tobacco, etc.)

I usually look for items with Ibotta, Checkout 51, SavingStar, etc., rebates, and use them to "cash out" some of the value.

My new spiffy ShopRite has a literal gross ton of new employees, none of whom know a thing about coupons. I've had a couple of coupons not auto-double, once at SCO and once today at a regular cashier. Both times, when I called attention to it, the cashiers looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. Both times, the FEM also didn't know what I was talking about -- today, she actually said "It's supposed to say on the coupon if it doubles. I'll give it to you just this once, but it's supposed to say." I despair of this store now, I really do. Once the holiday deals are over, it's back to Aldi's and WM for me.

Thank you. I had $5 in groceries and I purchased $100 GCs . I got $20 printed end of receipt.

Looking at the ad, it has been clarified to "minimum purchase of $20 required at time of redemption", so now it's totally clear that you don't need to buy anything other than the gift cards.

Lately my NYC SR at SCO when a coupon doesnt auto double and does not state DND on it depending upon attendant Im given a hassle and a few times they went to CS which is right next to SCO and the last time CS said if it doesnt double when scanned it isnt eligible for doubling making me ask for Store Mgr who relented and told them to double. My guess is they wont keep doing this for customers who complain but depending upon store and attendant you might get it sometimes. In any case a company which wants to make customer loyalty a priority doesnt act this way

gift cards never count to minimum purchases, unfortunately. I forgot last night and ended up grabbing a pack of the '$1.99' White Castle burgers with my gift cards ($10 minimum required) and they came up full price (although they were still on sale).

Thank you for posting this. There's a Foodtown near me but I've only been there once since they opened about 4-5 years ago. The circular is delivered to my house every week but I never read it.

Anyway, I bought a $100 Amazon GC (along with some broc crowns) and the $25 did not automatically come off and the manager couldn't figured out why. He just gave me a merchandise return credit for $25. He says I' m the first one to take advantage of this deal. Perhaps my loyalty card is no longer active since I haven't used it in 4-5 years? The register didn't complain when it was scanned.

$100 Amazon GC for $75 is a fantastic deal! Thank you.

Finally, a few Cats...they've been very scarce lately because my store seems to keep all the garbage pails really empty lately by the time I get there. And I noticed they are actually ripping up any coupons/notices which come out of the Cat machines. Really, folks...don't you have anything better to do?

Thanks so much for the HU - our local Foodtown crap, hates couponers, so I stopped going there years ago. Haven't used my card in sooo long. The $25 came right off. $75 for a $100 Amazon GC is amazing.

That is indeed a great deal for sure because there are not many places you can get 33% immediate return on your investment nowadays. And Amazon GC never expire!!
We have over 640 dollars in our GC balance at Amazon
