Stumbled upon this before bed. Anyways various Ryzen CPUs available at Walmart that also come with a copy of Tom Clancy's The Division 2.Guess this is something AMD is doing to dump stock. So may be available through other retailers just FYI.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This is pretty much the normal price it has been. Unless you desperately need a new CPU, I'd hold off on purchasing one until summer when Zyzen 2 releases.

And by summer he means a solid 6 months from now. That is even if there is a paper launch day 1 of Q3.

With patches the 2600 is about 25% faster than the 1600. At launch the gap was only 15%. Other than that the 2600 is less picky on ram.

Didn't know that originally when I posted and didn't see anything else listed.

How does return process work if you decide that you dont want both game and cpu after playing the game?

Only reason to wait is this is pretty much a normal price. As far as the next gen goes, it's still too far out to be a factor, and falls under the your gunna wait forever if you keep holding out for the next thing. It'd be different if it was like 6 weeks out but these are like 6 months away.

Most retailers do not allow returns of used processors unless defective.

Also, you can't un-activate a game, so I wouldn't count on being able to return this at all.

i don't see anywhere preventing you from returning a processor that you don't like - e.g., performance is not good enough. i've been debating upgrading a 1700x with something else but not sure how much of a gain there will be. the best way to test that is probably playing a new game so hmm..

I just bought this processor from Newegg in a bundle deal with the Asus prime x470 pro no tax for me in Missouri. Save some money and look for a bundle deal if your needing a MOBO as well.
