yes, this is a timeshare presentation. if slickdealers in the hot deals forum are willing to deal with car salesmen for a $25 test drive gc, then i'd have to believe there are slickdealers who'd be willing to sit thru this....

I thought Wyndhams were RCI specific but we exchanged through Interval for San Antonio Riverside Suites right on the Riverwalk. We have not gone yet, but there is a discussion on Interval's community that prompted me to look at reviews. They are all over the place. Now we are questioning whether we were smart to grab it. Too late now.

It's on intervalworld.com and once you log in, you have to click on community. The thread is under Destinations and is titled Riverside Suites San Antonio, Texas Reviews. Someone who is going said reviews were all over the place on TA and asked if anyone has stayed there. It's not a big discussion as no one who has stayed there has replied.

I just came back from Orlando and took both Wyndham and Hilton presentation. Anyone who has little extra time or short on budget should take it but only criteria is do not let sales people get under your skin.. just say NO to any option or offer they put for buying timeshare.

we did the TS presentation in Branson, MO for $225 cash "bribe" that was offered to us while we were shopping at one of the grocery stores. It took no more than 90 min, we did the first hour in the morning, told the rep that we were not interested in buying so he just went through the motions and there was no hard selling spiels. We may have just gotten lucky because the others who started the same time were still there when we left.

if you go to Branson, there are lots of TS presentations you'll be offered ~ at the mall, the Landing, grocery stores, etc. Initially, we were offered $150, I said no thanks and that was when the recruiter offered max of $225 and I asked if there was a guarantee of the 90 min and there was a 'contract' we signed the presentation would take no longer than 90 min, I took a snapshot of it since it was submitted at registration when we came in. I'm glad there was no need for us to enforce that since we were out of there even before 90 min was up. We were asked for a $20 cash deposit which I paid with CC and later on returned in cash so total payment we got was $245.

We're heading to Orlando this spring break, we'll see if there are "cash bribes" there, I still have a stash of hotel points we're using so I'm not interested in cheap/free hotel stays. There's also lots of TS presentations in Smoky Mtns TN particularly Gatlinburg area but the offers are higher in Branson in our experience.

Sure $225 ranks among records. But for those only hugging the East Coast, the Poconos seem to beat out Orlando/Daytona. Never heard a lucrative S.FL offer
