This is the coupon I used a couple weeks ago, courtesy of Dumpsterdiver:

The cashier accepted a color printed copy of it with no problems other than having to enter the code manually in the register (bar code wouldn't scan). I did cut it out so it looked more like a standard coupon, although it was still a bit bigger than most.
Thanks for that, almost need to make that one a sticky.

I don't understand why the iphone is giving me such yellow images.

Does the 20% coupons work for online/Phone orders?
This magazine the coupons say 'anywhere you shop harborfright', but the 20% only says 'when you shop at HF tool stores.

Probably worth a shot if you phone in an order.

Learned a little more about compressors and decided to wait for a super-deal on a higher end model.

Essentially the cfm on the 3gallon ones are far too low (not just HF, everyone's)

There's a $150 coupon for the 21-gallon oiled compressor. It's pretty good for occasional use. Mine is a year old and works great, other than that the circuit breaker died and now trips after ten seconds of running. I just jumped it and kept on going...

Like to live on the edge, do we sooob? Might be time for more permanent fix than a jumper. My 2/100ths of a dollar...

Yeah, any of those small ones are for brad nailers and not much else. The oilless can be screamingly loud too.

There are basically 3 categories
1. Up to 15 or 20 amp (depends on wiring) 120 Volts
2. 220 Volt
3. GAS
Each have their negatives and positives. Gas is obviously portable, duh Smilie
120 volt practical but limited. 220 volt is the one that will run pretty much anything you will do at home.

Changed my mind I want to get the 10gallon air compressor item 67708
Also want to get the 1/2" twin air impact item 94803
Anyone have any coupons at all???
Not sure if this is something you're interested but there is a coupon for the 2 hp 8 gallon compressor. Here is the side by side (well sort of) from the HF site:

2.5 Horsepower, 10 Gallon, 125 PSI Air Compressor - 67708 - $144.99 <-- current online price

Motor: 120 volts, 14.1 amps, 60 Hz
Motor speed: 3400 RPM
Max working pressure: 125 PSI
Air delivery: 5.3 SCFM @ 90 PSI
6.2 SCFM @ 40 PSI
Air outlet: 1/4"-18 NPT
Sound level:
Cord length 6 ft.
Overall dimensions: 36''L X 22-1/4''W X 13-1/4''H
Shipping Weight: 72.00 lb.

2 Horsepower, 8 Gallon, 125 PSI Portable Air Compressor - 67501 <-- $109.99 coupon price*

Volts: 120V (60 Hz)
Amps: 15 start-up, 14 running
Motor speed: 3360 RPM
Max working pressure: 125 PSI
Air delivery: 4.5 SCFM @ 90 PSI,
5.5 SCFM @ 40 PSI
Air outlet: 1/4"-18 NPTF
Sound level: 88 dB
Cord length 6 ft. 5" Overall dimensions: 29.5" L x 13.5" W x 23.5" H
Shipping Weight: 66.15 lb.
* The coupon makes it only $6.00 or so below the current online price.

As for the 1/2" Twin Hammer Air Impact Wrench - 94803 I think you'll have to use the 20% off coupon on it. Brings it from $49.99 to $39.99. You could get out with the slightly smaller compressor and this wrench for $149.98 before taxes. Just a thought...

Yeah the eight is what I would aim for but I can wait now so I'll hold out for a killer deal, like $80-$90 range when all the coupons and prices and maybe openbox/clearance hits just right.

I missed the chance for that one at ~$105 but picked up a comparable Husky for ~$100 and I plan on running 3/8" hose (after removing the regulator that's weak and the coupler that starves) to a tee and my older 7gal storage tank then an HFT regulator to another 3/8" hose with coupler (the first in the system) to my (also new) 1/2" Earthquake. Quick testing says she'll hold until the tank pressure drops below ~95 or so.

I recently posted a coupon for a 10 or 12 for $149 a page or three back. Cut n paste is a pain from the phone otherwise I'd look.

Yeah.

Thing is, my circuits are all on 15 or 20 amp breakers. The onboard breaker (which is supposed to be 15 amps, AFAIK) is superfluous. It's a convenience so you don't have to go to the fuse box when it trips.

I bought an Earthquake earlier this year, too. Quite the awesome impact! Be real careful tightening nuts and bolts and especially lug nuts. You can warp the brake rotors on cars with disc brakes by over-tightening. Figure that wrench is supposed to be able to generate upwards of 700 ft. lbs and your typical smaller Honda lug nut is supposed to be set somewhere around 75 ft. lbs. On lower grades of nuts and bolts you could easily strip threads before you had a chance to realize it. I will say it's great for taking things apart but I never go past the middle of the three settings when putting things together. Just a friendly word of caution.
