The 1/2" one is in the January flyer mailed to your home. Sku #239. The coupon code is 78574296.

All the torque wrenches (3 of them) are in the coupons all of the time. Let me search the thread and I might be able to help you out.

This one is good through 12/31/12

Whoever updates the WIKI -

The free flashlight, split-leather work gloves, and Multimeter coupons have expired and probably should be removed/replaced.

That will stop me from accidentally printing them out and trying to use them in the store. LOL!

Thank you!

"You know you need professional help when you purchase tools you don't even know how to work just because they are such a good deal".

I purchased the 1/2" at the parking lot sale a couple months ago just "in case" I need it some day. But I have no freaking idea what I would use it on or even how to use it! LMAO

Now I'm think about maybe getting the 1/4" too!

But he guys, what do you use these on where you need to have exact torque? Are there instructions inside the case that tells how to use it?

There are some instructions, but you would be better to look online... YouTube might have some good videos.

Pretty much everything on your car is 'supposed' to be torqued down to a set spec... I use my 1/2 for head bolts on engines, and lug nuts. The 1/4 is used on spark plugs and manifold bolts. With that said your average around the house DIYer might not have a use for a torque wrench.

Off topic but I found a pretty good use for those 20% HF Qs, just walked out of Home Depot and the lady took 20% off everything in my cart, she said normally they only take 20% off 1 item but it's New Yrs so wat the heck. But she did say she needed a physical Q not just a pic, so I'm gonna start packing stacks of HF 20% Qs in the car, I get about 5 auto mags mailed to my place a month (all free of course) so I'll never have probs finding 20% Qs.

Trouble is.. even at 20% off, Home Depot is still going to be 10-20% more expensive Smilie

No, you need professional help when you buy a tool thats that good of a deal and when you put it away, you find another, on the shelf,.. new and still in the box

Not that I've done that,.. more than 5 times.

Most of the tools don't have a use guide, just a basic manual. Either hit the library, or surf uTube.

Such as 'how to use a torque wrench'

Oh I've done the "buy it multiple times" trick a lot! We have Menards that gives free-after-rebate items all the time. I have so many screwdriver sets, tape measures, hex key sets, etc, etc, it's just crazy. Yes, I also have a bunch of the free tape measures, screwdriver sets and multimeters from Harbor Freight.nod

Thanks for the info on the torque wrench.

Enjoy!!!

Now about using coupons on sale items. I bought the smaller of the two pedestal grinder stands. It was on sale for $27.95, regular $29.95. I used the 25% off coupon and the receipt made it look like it reverted to the non-sale price before discount. Not the case.. I got the 25% off the sale price and the receipt showed the total savings off of the list price.

On the grinder stand, the reviews all said that it's flimsy and people had to either replace the 3" pole with something stronger or weld it in place. Something must have been changed since those reviews were posted. This thing is solid as a rock with no mods at all and I have a 220 3phase grinder sitting on it (out weighs my Cummins grinder by 3-4x). The only drawback is that it's about 6" too short for me, I needed something to mount my water bowl to so I built it up with some 4x4. HF #42986 - not bad for $20.99!

I had that happen with a clearance item once.
