Just a FYI that MMS won't work on iPhone. You will still be able to send MMS to other iPhone users but not to Android users and won't receive from Android users either.
Introductory offer aside, Mint doesn't offer a month-to-month option like H2O does here. In order to get the same 3GB plan through Mint for an average of $20/mo, you have to prepay for 6 months of service. Plus H2O is an AT&T MVNO whereas Mint is a T-Mobile MVNO. Generally AT&T will provide superior coverage.

I'm currently a Mint subscriber, however, and have been pretty happy. Was also an H2O subscriber a couple years ago and was pretty happy.
This one is no contract, like most prepaid services. Just click the link and read the terms at the bottom of the page.

You get the first month of service free (just pay the $5 for shipping).
If you decide you want to stay with them after the free month, you'd need to prepay upfront: $20/mo. or $30/mo. (depending which you picked) starting your 2nd month. They won't/can't auto-charge you unless you enable this option manually in your account settings.

You could just do the free month only and port out a day or two before it ends to a different carrier running a good deal.

This sounds like a great deal. Does it have to be a ported number?

Hmm. Port to H2O from Mint, then back on the 3 mo. for $20 deal? That should work, right?

Can't answer you question about this H2O deal working on an iPad, but if you've got one that's cellular capable, could always consider the AT&T Unlimited iPad Data plan for $30/month with autopay https://dcp2.att.com/OEPNDClient/Logout

sound like Red Pocket might be a safer deal
