Same experience here. Checked out right now.
Would not let me complete order without entering CC info. This was before the second page for additional magazines at $2 each (which I skipped)

I experience that too a few weeks ago. I haven't received The Wall Street Journal yet. Called the third party provider and they claimed there was a problem with my payment method, even though it stated 3200 miles plus $0. They claim they will look into it. Not holding my breath. Miles have been deducted, still no publication.

Contacted the third party provider again and they indicated the order was never fulfilled because of a problem with the payment method. Was instructed that I would have to contact airline to receive a refund for my miles. Contacted airline customer service and was told I would receive a refund of my miles in a week.

Since I now see that the WSJ can be redeemed for miles with no CC, am I asking for more hassle in redeeming my miles again?

This worked for me. I had initially emailed customer service and they told me that Magsformiles subscriptions were not eligible for digital access. I then called the CS line - the system could not look up my account by phone number (maybe I never gave it to magsformiles or maybe they never passed it on). The live agent could look me up by address, then add my phone to the account, and she offered to activate my digital subscription while I was on the phone.

Tell them that you want to set up your online account so that you can report delivery issues and vacation holds. Once you have access you should be able to see your account number, etc.
