Putting this in the WIKI so people can find it:

I haven't done this, but they are also offering a $100 bonus for taking part of your refund on a gift card. Give your refund a boost! Now you can take home more than your maximum refund. Get up to a $100 bonus by placing part of your refund on a gift card.

Fun fact: if it weren't for the millions of dollars spent by the likes of Intuit and H&R Block, filing taxes would almost certainly be much simpler, easier to do, and free.

A decent deal, I used freetaxusa last year because of taxacts price hike, it was free federal and $12 for state, this is reasonable close and much cheaper than TurboTax or HRblock

I wonder if this means "used" or "filed".

I inputted data to compare to Credit Karma, but ultimately filed using CC.

Could not add a new return for that price, it came up as the same price (17.48) as a previous return i started.

Would have taken advantage of this deal, but went with H&R deal already. Hopefully next year they send it out a little earlier.

TaxAct [tax act.com] is offering their TaxAct 2018 Tax Preparation Software (online or download) all available options are $5 federal and $5 state filing for anyone who didn't file with them last year.

YMMV - MUST NOT HAVE FILED WITH THEM LAST YEAR

FYI - There is always the option to file for free if you qualify [irs.gov], but if you need these forms, this is the best deal I've seen so far.

To make sure you have the price locked in, after logging on, go to left bar-> My Return -> My Return Details -> My Return Fee -> Box Will show your fees, and show option for Audit Defense. I attached a screenshot to show my fees.

THis is an awesome deal. The next best expired a few months ago and that was for $9.95 return + $12.95 for each state (All-inclusive version). I have to file 2 states so this saves me $21. I was able to use my existing account and import last years info. Thanks OP!!!

I did that last year as well just don't remember how to pay now and file later
