Sinemia is a movie theater subscription service that allows you to see 2D movies every month at almost any movie theater (amount depends on plan). Think MoviePass but with all the kinks worked out.

Download the app or check the website to make sure there are participating theaters in your area.

The service has a sale $3.99/m for the base plan, they have other plans that include additional persons or premium movies such as 3D and IMAX but the plan must be purchased annually. Think movie pass but better.

For example the base plan as mentioned above will become 3.99 x 12 = $47.88
Purchase 1 gift card @ $35 ($50 Value)

$35 for 1 year of movies!!!

NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY USE 1 GIFT CARD PER MEMBERSHIP PURCHASE!

https://www.sinemia.com/gift-cards

Add'l tips: purchase the debit card to use at your leisure, the digital card is an add'l $1.80 for every time you use it to purchase movie tickets. The one time fee of $15 for the debit card pays for itself after 9 movies. You must check in on the app when you go to the theater if you forget Sinemia charges the user a $15 penalty fee, so don't forget!!!

I don't post deals often please let me know if you need me to clarify something or add any additional info.

Happy viewing!!!

I am looking for other movie theater subscriptions now that my MP annual plan is over. From what I've read on user reviews of sinemia, it is MP with many more kinks added in. Overall experience sounds much worse. I'm not going to take the chance with sinemia. Research carefully.

OP. Sinemia gift cards purchased today can't be used until 2/14. Just another hoop that sinemia adds. So if you want to buy these plans with a gift card purchased today, you have to wait a week. The promotions change all the time. So there's no way of knowing if this promotion will still be active on 2/14, fyi.

I switched from MP to Sinemia, best decision ever since I can actually watch movies. MP would have no showings everyday, I basically went the last 2 months without being able to watch a single movie

This is a pretty bold statement: "Think MoviePass but with all the kinks worked out."
People are complaining about failure to checkin, extremely poor customer service, no reply from support, etc. and the latest whopper, providing your personal identifying information to a company based in Turkey, some people are not comfortable with that. I don't know why they can't give people a week to provide the identification instead of suspending people's account until the information is provided.

Make sure you know all the rules and fees, read the sub-reddit forum. They will suspend your account in a heartbeat.
The physical card is $25 instead of $15, but if you buy the 30% GC, it comes to $17.50.
Every single purchase online will incur Sinemia's own $1.80 processing fee, in addition to whatever ticketing service (Fandango, Atom, etc.) charges. The only way to avoid a service charge is to purchase ticket at the theater on the day of the show with the above mentioned physical card.
If you forgot to checkin, after a couple of warnings, you will be charged the actual cost of the ticket and your account suspended until you pay.

When I read their term and conditions, their gift cards are not redeemable for all of their plans. Their gift cards will be expired in 5 years after the date you purchased. Also they will charge $3.50 per month after 12 consecutive months.

Guys, I've been a huge supporter of sinemia but BEWARE just the other day they randomly blocked a huge amount of people's accounts for no reason requiring you to submit a photo of a government issued ID and a photo of you holding that ID. They didn't send emails out, you only find out when you go to use it, it also happened to some people who bought tickets and went to check in and couldn't because it said they had to submit id before continuing to use it which ended up in them being charged $30 for not checking in. It's not a quick process either, I've been waiting for them to verify my photo for 3 days. You can read more here, https://amp.businessinsider.com/moviepass-rival-sinemia-demanding-two-forms-of-id-to-verify-accounts-2019-2 and there is a megathread on it in the sinemia subreddit. Up until this I loved sinemia but blocking people's account randomly is ridiculous.

Stay Away !!!!!!! Don't do anything Sinemia...

My experience in the first few months.....

1. Out of nowhere they started to charge a $1.80 fee for purchasing a ticket online ( only way to purchase it ). At the time they did not have physical card, so you were stuck paying it.

2. They came back out with the physical card, but they wanted you to fork over $15 for it. OK, fine I paid because I recoup it after seeing 9 movies to cover the $1.80 they started to charge.

3. Their app had a problem and wouldn't accept my check in at the theater... They locked the account until I paid them the cost of the movie... $13... Plus it still counted towards one of the 3 that month!!!! From what I read online they used to let the first time go, but this was my first time not checking in. This was an app problem, not a I forgot to check in, but I still had to pay for it. Their support said they have no record of me trying to check in, well yeah, the app wasn't working !!!

4. They now locked my account and my wife's account ( no email notification to either of us ) until we uploaded our licence and also a pic of each of us holding the licence next to our face for verification... This happened when we were going out with friends of ours, embarrassing to jump through hoops when you are out with other people... Not to mention that is pretty sketchy and now a little worried about fraud potential since they are based in Turkey.

On top of that, their customer service is horrible, no phone number, no chat, only email... I have had to email them multiple times on a couple of items before even getting a response.

I've had some annoyances with them but the value is really good. We pay $20/month for a two person plan and the theater we go to is $18.50 a ticket, so even with the $7.20 in fees each month, we are coming out way ahead, paying $27.50 for ~$75 worth of tickets. The ID thing is beyond stupid, but I've never had an issue with locked accounts or missed checkins. I forgot to check in twice and both time emailed them and offered a copy of my Uber receipt showing I went to the movie, never got a response but was never charged. The check in process works much better now, you get promoted to click "check in" when you open the app at the theater and that's it. Yeah, it's a PITA sometimes, but based on our current movie-going habits it will save us ~$500 this year, so all good. YMMV of course.

My account was flagged for ID review.

My account is *not frozen*

I can use it like normal as it is reviewed.

I also chose the most generic government ID I had for their records.
