At only 250 watts it's not very powerful. If you can afford it I suggest spending a little more and getting a 1000 watt Nutra Ninja. It pulverizes anything you put in it in seconds.

Really good deals on Nutra Ninjas are posted occasionally. I paid $30 a little over a year ago for mine though I admit that was an unusually slick deal that may not repeat again at that price point.
