Micro Center
Are microcenter bundles only for specific cpu/motherboards are do they work for any compatible cpu/boards?
Like if you check out the intel combo's
https://www.microcenter .com/site/...ndles.aspx
They have 5 combo deals listed for the 9900k, but when you go to the actual 9900k page
https://www.microcenter .com/produ...-processor
and click the 'bundle and save' tab, only 3 are listed.

I would add the combo you want and see if the discount applies. Chances are it will, I have yet to buy a combo from MicroCenter that excluded anything.
When you click on the first link you provided, it shows that CPU and MoBo combos *4 of them.
When you click on the second link you provided, it shows the cpu, then you click the combo tab, it shows a lot more combos.. but the combos are 4 for CPU/MoBo and the rest are CPU/MoBo/SSD.
All it is doing is adding more 'combo' deals with an SSD option.
Newegg will still probably be a better deal.
Don't go to MC to buy ALL your parts. There are deals to lure you into the store then the CSR's will walk you to the rest of the parts with ease... stand your ground... buy from different stores for the better prices.
CPU's
PS's
GPU's are all cheaper on Newegg anyway.
Personally I don't trust Microcenter. I would only buy parts for PC that are hard to find like lights or coolant for my Radiator.
I read a long time ago MC CPU's didn't OC as well as other stores... something about the 'batch' they get. No idea.. it is probably 2014 info but it threw me off .
I don't like the way you go into to exchange an SSD, they tell you to go pick one out, you walk over to the SSD's tell a CSR you want it, and he walks it in the backroom NOT FOLLOWING YOU to the returns.. and you wait at the returns for him to come out. like WTF are you doing with my 'new' ssd in the back room before I got it?
I just do not trust Microcenter. There is a lot of shoddy sh~t that happens there.
I had had to do credit card fraud claims on prices, Corporate office complaints, BBB..
One time I exchanged an item for the same item.. it was $79.99. They exchanged it. I get it home and it didn't work.. I go in for a refund and they gave me $74.99.. because during the exchange they changed the price on me with out me knowing. " I'm giving you back $74.99 because that is what the receipt says" . I had to go back home to get the first exchange receipt to show I paid $79.99, exchanged it, showed the exchange receipt pointing out they ripped me off the $5.
Then in the end they still didn't refund me my tax on the $5.
I even had to fight my charge with my Credit Card for that ( which I got back ).
They do some shoddy sh~t there .
