I picked this up at Frys with the 20% coupon. Fantastic card with a clean look. Stays cool. And I'm coming from a 1080ti ftw3 hybrid.

not worth it over the base models (not overclocked) that were $550 a few times. after 2 minutes of tweaking, i was able to get my 2080 to boost to 2050MHz on the GPU and 15,000MHz memory.

my 2080 came with samsung memory, which was nice.

Why exactly did u buy the 2080? Fps is about the same as the 1080 ti. I hope u dont say ray tracing...

It basically cost me $100 to upgrade to the new card. I'm a sucker for new tech and, pompously, I have the means to do it. I wouldn't recommend jumping from a 1080ti to a 2080 for anyone else.

Just curious. If you have a solid 1080ti, why get the 2080? Don't they have similar performance with dlss and rtx non-existent so far?

I wouldnt upgrade if you already have a 1080ti lmao, 2080 is just slightly better than a 1080ti but you can get a 1080ti for 500+ in the used market. I bought this 2080 though from Fry's last week for 590 and im happy with it. Coming from a old ass 960 lmao.

Just keep in mind you will underutilize this GPU @ 1080p even if you play on ultra, it won't have max usage in some games(Anthem) and put more strain on your CPU regardless of what your CPU is. So if you plan on this card 1440p should also accompany it if you already dont have it.

2080ti is the only solution if you're coming from a 1080ti.

on top of that DLSS stands for "Doesn't Look So Sharp" - you are better off with upscaling.

I am also staying with 1080 ti for now.
