Sao Miguel is the largest and most beautiful island in the Azores.

Great price, however also keep an eye out for Groupon deals which usually include flight/hotel for around $600-800 pp.

Azores is pretty amazing. TAP Air Portugal should seriously take a page out of the book of Icelandair and make free stopovers in the Azores to Portugal for all their flights.

I went to Portugal with my wife for our honeymoon this past year, and finished our trip on Sao Miguel in an amazing little AirBNB with the most incredible sunset I've ever seen. 4 days of paradise, could not recommend it more. Maybe we'll go back!

Here's some advice for you people. Check in last minute if you purchase a basic economy ticket because those who check in last have a better chance of getting comfort plus.
