I have a $15 tracfone refill card laying around, I wonder if I can buy the sim kit from Amazon and activate service using that refill card or if I have to buy a plan on tracfone's website. The fine print is not very informative, they don't mention. Limits either.

Fyi: You should be able to use your refill card on the tf site - it gives you the option. The amazon site states offer must be used by 4/30/19.

Just purchased a net10 sim kit to test a phone the other day (after March 1; wasn't charged as an add-on, shipped for a $1). Don't recall details of the promotion on the page, but I wasn't looking. Any way to confirm that the deal applied?

Not sure, didn't get this myself. According to the fine print, though, it has to be sold by Amazon. What does your order say?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just buy the Tracfone SIM + plan ($1 + $15) and get a $25 Amazon GC? So you're essentially paying $16 (+taxes if they charge tax) for a $25 Amazon GC.

That's what it looks like to me. Seems worth doing if it works out.

I think so, with the caveats that it's an add-on item and I don'w know how much taxes and service charge are. Free money's nice, but the hoops make it less appealing.

Mine were standard Prime (not an add-on) & I wasn't charged anything extra yesterday, just $1.98 for 2.
