You can disable the color changing, very easily, you just tap the on button until you get the solid color you want.

These are INCREDIBLY good, great night lights, great flashlights, and guess what they don't advertise? These are portable battery chargers for your phone as well! The USB input still works to charge even when not plugged into AC, and works tremendously well in a lights out situation as we recently learned. Highly recommend these little buggers for the price.
