Hello, I hope you're well.
I'm curious about other Slickdeals members' Android setups.
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S9 during 2018's summer and finally took it out of the retail box last week! Because I was changing to a new phone from my Essential PH-1, I figured I'd redo my Android home screen.
I generally like home screens that are both clean and functional; although I like minimalistic home screens, I want apps to be easily accessible, so I generally have quite a few folders and apps shown.
I will share my own home screen in a reply below.
Take care,
Tofu Vic

Screenshot of my home screen
- Near the top of the screen is a KWGT widget that I customized so I can quickly get to my clock and alarms, calendar, and the weather
- The bottom center of my screen are two icons: Google Search & Google Assistant (speech)
- The bottom half of my screen has 8 icons which are folders for: Deals; Shopping & Finances; Media; Smart Home; Social; Navigation; References; and Utilities
- The very bottom of my screen are 8 apps I use regularly
- Unseen: I also have 11 gestures set up to open apps quickly, such as swiping, tapping, and pinching blank spaces
Thank you,Tofu Vic

I am glad to hear that you find Samsung Galaxy S9 home screens enjoyable. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
With Warm Regards.
Sorry for bringing the thread down.
In case anyone cares, here's my set up.
Homescreen I have a weather widget which shows 5 day forecast. I have about 15 icons of my most used apps, the ones I use daily. I use Nova Launcher with custom gestures. The biggest help is spinning your fingers clock wise on the screen, brings up my alarm app. I work retail so I have different daily alarms.
The screen to the left are work or productivity apps. The screens to the right are play and personal apps like email clients. And for my background I use 500 firepaper by Chainfire. It changes your background pictures every few minutes, or when you rotate the screen. It used to show lots of categorys, from nature to animals to women to abstract or technology. Something happened recently with the copyright for the site he used, so now it only shows earth "porn" from reddit sub I think, so you only get nature pics now. But I still find it soothing. I like to see the different scenes, it's relaxing and really brings out the best picture in the screen.
