If you currently have any kind of Saphire personal card that is active, you will NOTqualify for bonus points, even if you are approved.
If you close your Saphire card recently, you will need to wait 48 months from the date you received the previous Saphire bonus before applying to get the new card's bonus points.
Be careful not to waste a hard credit pull Smilie

Chase T&C:
"The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products."
95 af is not waived for first year basically previously it was 50k with 95 waived first year now it's 60k with 95 af so pretty much the same
Also I'll get csr rather than csp if you spend 3400+ in travel, dining etc
It is pretty straightforward. When you use your card for ANY travel purchase (like Airbnb, airfare, hotels, Lyft, Uber, parking, some tolls, and many others), you will automatically be reimbursed, until you've spent a total of $300 on travel. In other words, Chase will pay for the first $300 in travel you spend each year with your card.

I applied about 10 days ago and they did a hard credit check immediately. I still haven't received any info. Does that mean I'm declined?

For some reason Chase doesn't seem to want me as a customer Stick Out Tongue. I've only had 1 checking account in the US and it's always been with Chase. They rejected me for a Freedom card 4 years ago, twice. I was approved for every other card I applied for. My credit score is good 780-800, 3 open accounts, lots of credit, good income, nothing derogatory. I guess the only thing is I spent a year away from the US and used my cards minimally and kept a low checking balance, and just returned to regular US credit spending a month ago. Wonder if that's what they're looking at?
May have to wait a little longer to get a chase email about possible fraud. If you get that email it's a quick call to verify it's you then you get the results.

I have a chase freedom but have an extended fraud alert on the credit report. Whats the best/fastest way to get this card?
I have a fraud alert on my reports, as well. IIRC, it took over a week before my application even got to the point where my identity needed to be confirmed. Below is a post I made about ten months ago in the last Chase Sapphire Preferred thread. If I was going to do it all over again, I would have called the human recon line sooner. They are the ones that ultimately resolved it.

Yeah, I think Chase is really jammed up with applications. I got the 30-day message for the CSR back in July, and it never changed. I called the automated status line for a few days. No change. I spoke to a person via the prompts on the automated status line and was told that the application was still processing. After about a week of calling the automated status line with no change, I called the human recon line. They confirmed my identity, and I was approved instantly. If I had to do it over again, I'd call human recon on the first or second day.

thanks! repped.. if I wait till 48+ months, do i have to close my account or can I just apply for the sapphire preferred?
You need to close or downgrade it to a Freedom or Freedom Unlimited. I would recommend downgrading as it keeps the account open on your credit history, plus both of those are useful cards to hold. You could go ahead an downgrade at anytime if you don't feel your current Sapphire card is worth the AF.

Can i get cash value for this 60000 points?
Yes, you can redeem them for cash or as a statement credit. Cash value of UR is $0.01 per UR, so 60k UR are worth $600.

If you want to redeem them for travel, you can get a better value, as redeeming points through the Chase travel portal using give them a 25% increase in value. Basically you could get $750 worth of travel out of the 60k UR if you decide to go that route.

If I book flights with this card on 3rd party website for $2000 and purchases for $2000, can I redeem $750 or still $600

Price on ultimate rewards portal is more compare to other websites for example airline booking, I see at least $100 diff on tickets. So extra $150 doesn't seem worth. Any thoughts

Prices are pretty similar to what you'd find on Expedia. YMMV. I booked a flight last week and it was the same as from the airline directly. I just looked for a flight from sfo to jfk for next week and it's the same exact price on chase as it is on jet blue's site. The prices are generally not artificially inflated.
