Update: The premium plan is now $45 before autopay discount, but no longer includes Uber credits. For those that don't use Uber, but pay for Amazon Prime, that now makes this plan the best deal.

Update: You can dial *2 from your Sprint phone to have your account converted. https://community.sprint.com/t5/E...swAdDfoPeA

Sprint reached out and tells us that the link in the OP is outdated and this one https://community.sprint.com/t5/E...-p/1033393 is the newer, corrected one.
I didn't want to edit the OP but if the OP wanted to edit to have this link.. that would be great.

Note: Sprint stated they were in the process of of migrating all SERO accounts to SWAC, so you can either initiate the move yourself if you wish, or wait until they eventually get to your account.

Here is the dedicated customer service email. [email protected]
When I last used it, they took a full day to reply, but did so personably and thoroughly.

Are they still doing the conversions? Which plan is Tmobile least likely to kill off when it takes over...Sero or Swac?
They're moving everyone from SERO to SWAC because they're doing away with SERO and consolidating to the newer SWAC. There are no guarantees on anything, but SERO has been a legacy thing for years and years now, and it's surprising they've left it active as long as they did. Last I heard, the switch was optional for the moment, but they would be forcing it eventually.

SWAC is the better plan, and it's more likely to stick around (in one form or another). There's really no benefit at all to SERO at this point.

Hey so I've had SERO for 10+ years and have recently been looking for a new smartphone during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday season (currently have an old Samsung Galaxy S7). I saw a Google Pixel 4a 5g deal I liked on the Sprint website where you can get the phone for $250 with a plan and trading in a Samsung Galaxy S7. But in doing the research I just now found out about the SWAC plan and seems to have everything for $30/month that I'm currently paying under the $50/month SERO plan. So I'm definitely interested in switching. But the questions I have are:
1) Would I be able to use this website: https://sprint.custhelp.com/app/EWD/EWDorSERO
to convert from SERO to SWAC without issue if my initial SERO referral 10+ years ago wasn't legit?
2) Would I be eligible for the Google Pixel discount after switching plans (assuming I'm able to switch plans)?

  1. Yes. If you're on SERO now, they'll switch you to SWAC. They want to consolidate and get rid of legacy plans like SERO.
  2. Depends on the specifics of the promotion, but if it's tied to a specific plan, it might not be available. In general, phone promotions that require Sprint activation are usually not available for those of us on SERO or SWAC plans. I've had the best luck looking for unlocked phone deals. They're usually not quite as good as the "activation required" deals, but they give you ultimate flexibility. I'd switch to SWAC first, and then do a chat contact with Sprint and ask them about the phone promotion, making it clear that you want to stay on your SWAC plan and do not want to change plans.

Hey guys, I am on an old Sero plan. I need to leave the country for 6 months or so. When I asked them about vacation holds, they said it's not possible. Would converting it to this SWAC account do anything to help my situation? Thanks in advance.

I did back in April. No issues at all. Purchased phone straight from Samsung and had no issues activating.

sprint even offered to switch me to t-mob network and keep the same plan if I wanted.

So I switched to a new phone. The process is fast and no issue. Plan is the still the same. All good. Here is the actual process is interested:

1. I bought a S21 that belongs to Sprint Network. (off ebay, and checked the imei to confirm before buying)
2. Log into my account, goto "Manage Device" and select "Activate New Device"
3. Put in the new IMEI (there are 2 imei and I put the first one. I think either should work)
4. The web show you the old phone IMEI and old SIM card, along with the New phone IMEI and new SIM card in it.
5. It does ask you if you want to switch to a TMobile Sim card which I answered no.
6. Old phone and new phone were both powered on as needed.
7. After I confirmed the switch, old phone's network becomes invalid immediately
8. I have to reboot new phone. And it activated automatically.
9. Everything works fine since then. Sprint My Account page still show my old phone but changed after 1 day

Kinda late to this. Too much happening the last two years. I posted on an older thread then I found this.
I've been on SERO for 15 years (SERO Fair & Flexible Plan 500 $30.00). And as crazy as it might sound I'm still using my Samsung a900. Served me well. Falling apart now.
Received email notification that Sprint's 3G (CDMA) network will retire on January 1, 2022 and I need to upgrade my phone. Didn't have time to focus on it for the last month or so. Then an email yesterday now says the Sprint 3G network will now remain in service until March 31, 2022 (probably Covid surge). But I still need to upgrade my phone.
Went back and checked some past bills online and saw that my plan was changed in summer 2019 to Sprint Wireless Advantage Club. Don't recall getting any notification about this. Reminds me of when they changed my SERO to Fair & Flexible Plan 500 without my permission. Had to call then.
Now reading through this thread, there's a lot I wasn't aware of. Now recent email is saying I must get a new phone. They list what is available to me:
T-Mobile REVVL V+5G
Samsung Galaxy A32 5G

Samsung A13 5G
Samsung Galaxy A52 5G
Samsung Galaxy A71 5G
Samsung Galaxy AO2s

Motorola moto g stylus 5G
Motorola Moto G Pure
Motorola Moto g play

Nokia x100

Apple iPhone XR

OnePlus Nord N100

LG Aristo 5

Not sure what's the best call here.

The email just says To learn about your options, including a free 5G device and device discounts login or visit a T-mobile or Sprint store. I haven't called them yet. But when I logged into my account the option of phones available were the ones I listed. That was last night. The first two were the ones listed as free with the others showing a monthly charge or full price associated. It does say I may may have $200 as credit towards a new phone if I'm not interested in the free ones.

T-Mobile REVVL V+5G
Samsung Galaxy A32 5G

When I just logged into my account, the option of phones are now reduced. Could be availablity. who knows.

These are showing Full Price as: $0.00
T-Mobile REVVL V+5G
Samsung Galaxy A32 5
OnePlus Nord N200 5G

and these are the others:
Samsung Galaxy A71 5G.......full price=$500.00
Google Pixel 6......................full Price=$599.99
OnePlus 9 5G.......................full price=$729.99

Now sprint asks me to change to T-Mobile SIM. Anyone did this? Will I lose my plan, if I switch to T-Mobile sim?
