This seems like a fantastic deal for a 4K monitor to me. If I had a PS4 Pro I would by it in a heartbeat. I probably won't get one for another year though and I'd rather get a 1440p 144hz monitor for my desktop. I assume it could work with G-Sync too (since it is Freesync and has a displayport). Let me know if this doesn't seem like a good deal. (Also let me know, in the comments, if you believe that this deal would be worth it over getting a 1440p 144hz monitor for $270-300. I have an RTX 2070.)

(Remember that it is refurbished. It is sold and shipped by Newegg.)

EDIT: Decided to buy it and use it as a close up office TV with Chromecast Ulta until I buy a PS4 Pro to use with it as well.

NOTE: I'm very happy that this has a 3.5 auxiliary output. It'll make it easier to connect a USB powered speaker to it.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I'm pretty that review is probably trying to say that even if it didn't have it, it would still be good. It's just not good wording. (Newegg & Tech Deals both say it is Freesync as well.)

This has Freesync. If you're assuming it doesn't.

I'm actually considering this for video editing and photoshop. My concern is that it's a TN monitor - seems like everyone and thier mom says the way to go for editing is IPS.

any opinions. Thank you

Direct information from Asus website says otherwise: https://www.asus.com/us/Monitors/MG28UQ/ [asus.com]

I'm no expert. But my understanding is that TN panels are for gamers: fast response time. I'd assume IPS would be much better for editing: better color, better viewing angles.

Nice! Been looking for a cheap 4K for a secondary laptop monitor and for gaming consoles. Thank you!

Exactly TN has faster response times so typically still preferred for gaming.
