Air tools such as a impact wrench or a nail gun although certain tools require a bigger compressor.
You can even blow our your sprinklers with a bigger compressor (8+ CFM at 40psi).
Even mundane things such as filling air with your far tires can be easily done with any air compressor. I use my portable Husky one for doing compression tests and boost leak tests on my cars.
I bought this last week for $50 and it's still $50 in my area. It's a nice little compressor, good for inflating things, blowing air, or a low-CFM air tool like a paint gun or a nail gun.
What it is NOT adequate for is higher-CFM tools like an impact wrench or impact driver. For that you'll need something that provides more CFM (generally, 8-10 gallon sizes or higher). So my hunt will probably continue.
The compressor is nice, just not adequate for all jobs.
Is it a bad idea to use an existing portable air tank I have to use as extra volume of air if I hook it to this compressor to help supply my total air volume? I know it won't help my CFM tho which stinks.
