Still haven't gotten the $150 Slickdeals rebate from the AMEX card deal from a month back...
Vanguard money market is about 2.49% or so currently. Places like Cit bank is around 2.45%. Other places have 2.3-2.4%ish accounts. Purepoint has a no-penalty CD at 2.6%
But with 20K to play with, you may be better off doing the bank bonus game -- Discover/Capital One/HSBC checking/Citi and so on.
I checked our system and your approval is showing up on 3/8. You should receive payment by early next week.

Applied 4/18, nothing updated. Chat with Rep 4/30. she said it would take 10 more days. Really, is this for real? a month to open a saving account? HSBC is so incompetent.
there was another bank that offered a comparable offer but i forget the name, think it was Citi. maybe they approve faster?
What do you want them to reply with? "Your rebate is pending"
I do have a life and thats why I just let it be, I set a reminder on my phone for 60 days and if I havent received it yet then I would email them.
"Get a life", says the one constantly hitting refresh on their email hoping for a reply...irony
Yes, ANY acknowledgement that the rebate submission had been received would be welcome. "We received your rebate submission and here is your confirmation number". Something. SD's rebates are notoriously badly run, and your strange need to defend them or needlessly attack those who point out their failures shows how out of the loop you are.
As for the rest of your reply, it does not warrant a response.
keep FreeUp BYOD phone laying around, $4.99 for the SIM, no monthly fees. Works great to receive short code texts from banks, etc
Thanks! I've had that a couple of times when it first came out. I used it to port into the Sprint free plan. I just didn't want to give them a real number.
It's been couple of weeks that I opened an account and HSBC and even filled the form in SD as per the instruction but I have neither received money nor heard back from SD. I email to SD yesterday but have not heard yet. This better be not one of those trap to create an account or else I will be pissed.
The savings rate on this account actually is pretty decent at 2.3%, they do need a redesign of their account page though. One of the most confusing pages I've ever seen.
