Still haven't gotten the $150 Slickdeals rebate from the AMEX card deal from a month back...
Vanguard money market is about 2.49% or so currently. Places like Cit bank is around 2.45%. Other places have 2.3-2.4%ish accounts. Purepoint has a no-penalty CD at 2.6%
But with 20K to play with, you may be better off doing the bank bonus game -- Discover/Capital One/HSBC checking/Citi and so on.
I checked our system and your approval is showing up on 3/8. You should receive payment by early next week.

This is completely a scam. Never got my 125 in my paypal account.
Have been sending emails after emails but no one from SlickDeal replies to it nor contact me.
Complete waste and big lie.
I have never had such a difficult time trying to open a savings account. I finally told them to forget it when they needed a color facsimile of my drivers lost and birth certificate. To open a savings account! Ridiculous invasion of privacy and totally unnecessary. I'm sorry I let them do a credit check as well .I have excellent credit, and took a hard pull for nothing.

Yes, they are anal about identity verification, I had to send them a copy of my DL, but would have balked at a birth certificate. But the thing that really annoyed me was that I got an email to call them about that. When I got through from the accent the rep was obviously in an India call center, She had me verify name, address & DOB, and then wanted me to verify my Soc. Sec.#. I said "you mean the last 4 digits"? No, she wanted my full Soc.Sec.#, You idiots!!! You're letting a low paid worker in a 3rd country have full access to all my personal identity info, including full Social Security number????
You go to great lengths to Verify my identity, how about a little more effort to Protect my identity???

That's odd. Are you sure it was a hard pull? Mine seems to have been a soft pull and didn't even show up on my credit karma over 2 months later. I've been accessing credit reports to check disputes for all 3 bureaus and haven't seen it there, either.
Just an update for anyone who might have been following my comment earlier in the thread. In short, I followed the terms exactly, contacted SD after 67 days, was asked to provide my welcome email from HSBC, and received my bonus today. To expedite things, I also included the emailed bonus form responses and a screenshot of my HSBC account dashboard that was time and date stamped. It is possible to slip through the cracks but I don't think it's as common as this thread would suggest. For anyone who has truly followed directions and waited the full 60 days, don't despair. The best advice I can offer is keep your documentation, and make sure you have your ducks in a row before calling "foul." Thank you, SD!
I set up my own username when I set up the online banking login and set a security device. If you haven't gotten to that point yet, try the email address you registered with.
Approval for account on 4/22
Filled out form on 4/22
Emailed Slickdeals after 60 days, they said they didn't have a record for me but accepted the opening email from HSBC as proof.
Got my $125 on 7/05
I still have a100% completion rate on rebates and I've done at least 3 slickdeals ones. Rebates are for those who follow directions and follow through no matter what issues arise, not for those who expect to just have it handed to them. Thanks Slickdeals!.
