Still haven't gotten the $150 Slickdeals rebate from the AMEX card deal from a month back...
Vanguard money market is about 2.49% or so currently. Places like Cit bank is around 2.45%. Other places have 2.3-2.4%ish accounts. Purepoint has a no-penalty CD at 2.6%
But with 20K to play with, you may be better off doing the bank bonus game -- Discover/Capital One/HSBC checking/Citi and so on.
I checked our system and your approval is showing up on 3/8. You should receive payment by early next week.

Read the terms! $1 minimum deposit, and yes there is an early account closing fee. I don't remember the exact amount, but it's all stated in the electronic disclosures you must read and agree to when applying for the account.
Don't be an @sshole.. Where are you seeing this? I see on the application page that you can open with $1 but often bonuses require larger amounts of money. The application page doesn't mention any details on the rebate since it is slickdeals provided and I see nothing on the application page about early closure. The link for the rebate has no details on it either. You would things like this would be listed in the details of this post maybe if they are important.

When you go through the application process there are 5 separate electronic disclosures you have to read and agree to. One is the fee schedule, which tells you about the early closing fee amongst others. It also lists the minimum $1 deposit.
I applied and my application "has been received and is pending verification of your trial deposits." Does this mean that I am approved for an account but the account isn't finished being setup? Being that this is the last day for the rebate and the trial deposits won't be made until tomorrow, will I still be eligible? Should I submit the rebate form today or wait until the trial deposits are confirmed?

I think the early closure fee is $25 If your account is closed within 180 days of opening
My application got denied. email said they couldn't verify my identity and customer service said the same thing. What a joke. They got all my info and then denied me.

I've been using HSBC for a few months now and it's pretty solid. Their app just had a major update. Even so it is still limited for a few things. That being said, it's still one of the highest aprs and it does everything I need it to do.
Please send an email to [email protected] so they can look into the this for you.
Thanks!
Hey Rebates,
I applied today the last day of the deal but HSBC says my application is "being reviewed" and they may contact me in the next 48 hours. So do I still qualify for the bonus if it is approved since I applied today?
