Still haven't gotten the $150 Slickdeals rebate from the AMEX card deal from a month back...
Vanguard money market is about 2.49% or so currently. Places like Cit bank is around 2.45%. Other places have 2.3-2.4%ish accounts. Purepoint has a no-penalty CD at 2.6%
But with 20K to play with, you may be better off doing the bank bonus game -- Discover/Capital One/HSBC checking/Citi and so on.
I checked our system and your approval is showing up on 3/8. You should receive payment by early next week.

Does anyone have a link to what the requirements to keep the account open were? At this point the APY is weak compare d to others and the website and apps are really crappy.

Why do you think the APY is weak? I am getting 2.05% currently which is pretty close to the max rates that I see out there (unless I am missing something!)
I do NOT think this money is taxable, and I don't think it's a subjective assessment.
this is not the 1099-INT that you should have received from HSBC on the interest you may have generated in 2019 (assuming it was over 10$ for 2019.
The $125 promotion that Slickdeals paid us/you, falls under the $600 federal limit requiring a 1099 reporting requirement and form to be submitted and therefore, I think it's not going to require to fall into a taxable income bucket.
Did anyone receive any form from slickdeals for any of this/these types of promotional payments?

This absolutely IS income and IS required to be reported. Whether you get a 1099 or any other form is immaterial. Whether it is over $600 or not is immaterial. Whether the IRS will know, or you will be caught, is a different story, which is why I was making a funny about saying "need" is subjective.

Could you point to anything in the tax code that would quantify this as anything other than a de minimus gift card?

Did you keep screenshots of all your application pages? I always do that as a backup, for times when I don't get what they promised.
