Overall similar specs to the 17" deal posted yeah?
Just a Max Q graphics card in this one? This one also being $100 cheaper.

I imagine this is the 80 watt version of the max q and not the 90 watt given the chassis.

Why would you want a HDD? It does have two m.2 NVME slots though. You give up the 2.5" bay for the larger battery.

That's a steal. I have the 1070 version here. It's the same chassis (I believe) as the Overpowered laptops that have been sold by WalMart on SD real heavily. Power cord plugs into the back which if you have never had is amazing for laptops. My last one had that and I am on year 4 without messed up power ports when historically I ruined side mounted ones yearly.

I personally hated the keyboard and it typed poorly FOR ME, Girlfriend loves it so it's hers. Screen is just gorgeous assuming it hasn't been updated, thermals are fine and the build quality feels good and stiff.

In a video of the 17 inch version they reviewer says the panel has a 42 ms response time. Is that true for this one?

from amazon page:
Q: a review said the refresh rate is 30ms. can you confirm the refresh rate?
A: The review was incorrect. The response rate of the panel is typically 9ms.

Thanks!

If you read the comments, you will see that the response time is 9ms for the 17".

Same chassis as the Overpowered 15" that was so populapar over the winter. The overall feel is great, but the keyboard takes getting used to. I think the action of the keys is great, but the layout is unusual. Even having used it for months now, every time I switch from another computer I accidentally miss keys on the right side of this keyboard. The compressed layout combined with the trackpad that is not centered to the qwerty keys can take getting used to, so be aware. Other than that it's a great design (and even the keyboard layout is good once you adjust).

I bought the same chassis with a 8750 and 1060 for $800 (OP from Walmart). Returned it because of the keyboard. Unusable.
