I used the LA address with fakegps and Samsung got smart this time. I cannot claim rewards as it is not able to determine my location.

Correct, if you'll notice on the top of your notification bar... you'll see that as the Samsung pay app attempts to claim your reward, your gps locator icon does not appear at all. Whereas if you pay close attention and launch your Google map app, the gps location will appear as it retrieves your location.
