  • V8 Animal - $240 after 20% coupon
  • V10 Motorhead - $349 (coupons excluded as of 5/8/19)
Recently, Bed Bath and Beyond has been excluding Dyson from coupon offers; however, the website is allowing coupons on these items. As such, you should also be able to price match at Dyson.com if you prefer to get the free tools when buying factory direct.

What are the free tools when buying factory direct? Presuming they don't give you the one that is best for hardwood floors. Does anyone know how much that particular tool is separately?

Is thiz better than the absolute version? To apply the 20%, enter the email address and phone number at checkout that you get the offer on. Then you can apply it.

Ok so the 20% coupon works for V8 (and I guess V10?), but not V7 for some reason. I don't really need a V8 but now V8 after 20% off is as expensive as V7 I guess...

The Absolute is more expensive, because it additionally includes a "fluffy" head designed specifically for hard floors.

I have an absolute with the fluffy and the normal head. I'm not convinced the fluffy head is that much better on my wood and concrete. It sometimes has a lot of trouble with my corgi fur. The originall fluffy also has tiny, irremovable wheels that clog with fur easily, but I was able to get Dyson to switch it out with the newer Fluffy that debuted with the v10. That fluffy has removable wheels and is better with fur.

Also, it's perhaps telling that the new v11 is not offered with a fluffy head at all.

Is it crazy to buy the v8 animal if you have mostly hardwood floors (with some area rugs)? & stairs that are hardwood?

Yes you can pick up the fluffy head from $90-$100 from eBay or Amazon.
