You can get 500 or 512 GB for around $60 ~ 70
Just open the box and install at open slot for M.2 and put the screw in.
Then, use software to come with the SSD to clone the HD to SSD. Change BIOS to boot from SSD.
Installing the hardware only take 5 min if you are experienced. 30 min if you want to be very careful.
Software migration might take some more time. 30 min if you are experienced. 60 ~ 90 min if you want to understand and be careful.

it's close. Buying parts will generally get you better quality but will incur price increases compared to Dell's OEM purchasing power and scale.
Personally I'd build it. With an SSD. Or get the ACER deal for 630 with the 8400 and 1060.
