Don't be so rude. That was why I asked.
This is correct. Tracfone is only for light users. With Google Hangouts and WiFi, one can still can get a lot done with this plan.
All depends on your usage. personally I use most of my data on wifi so I would rather have 3 GB to use over a year instead of 250 mb a month where I might only use 100 mb one month and the next I need 1 GB for traveling.

Is redpocket better? 100 Mins, 100 text and 500mb per month (1200 mins, 1200 text and almost 6GB data per year). But monthly limit. $60

This is the first time I've heard of red pocket, Been a TracFone user for years but looking for something that has a little bit more data to it is a red pocket good? Thanks

I used red pocket for about a year and a half ago. the voice and text were great, but data is down-right-terrible. i can hardly get enough speed for my google maps when i need to use it. I live in los angeles btw.

If sometime I need to use more than 500MB, I should go with TF because TF allow me to buy 1GB of data for $10 anytime I want?
Sure, buy what you need as you need it. These yearly deals are priced right for light users & no tax on mine which is another bonus.

I have a question if anyone knowledgable is willing to help! I bought a tracfone J7 earlier this year through a deal for my dad. His old android phone has triple minutes but is a CDMA phone. If I were to transfer his phone number to a BYOD sim or a sim provided with the J7, would he retain the triple minutes deal? If not, is there any way I could retain his triple minutes and switch to a newer device?

Isn't this plan cheaper than the triple min year plan? My neighbors lost their TMFL when updating to Rebel 4 but new phone is so much faster & larger than what they had they're happy with it.

1200 talk/text, 3GB data for 12 months equates to 100 talk/text, 250MB per month for 12 months for $50. Definitely for extremely light users or for a dedicated emergency only phone line/cell phone. I personally think this plan is great for someone who wants to add the line to Google Voice and use it with WiFi calling where available. I'll probably do that.

That's a streatch. Triple minutes is locked to the device. You can but a 1200 card and use it on a triple minute phow and expect to triple. Tracfone sells 1200 minute cards in place of the 400 for triple minute phones. Same price for both

No tracfone triples 1200 min. Same price as a 400 card tripled. Do any newer tracfones triple anymore?
the tripling has been discontinued few years ago for new purchases.

Depends on your needs. Total offers 5GB for that $10 and can be stacked and used whenever as long as you keep service active. If you talk and text a lot the $25 plan combined with the rolling 5GB data cards may be a better option. Trac data is pretty pricey and only good for very low users who probably would not need to purchase data cards to begin with.

You can usually find a promo code for an extra 500mb when you buy 1GB.
Someone posted this site [jcink.net] yesterday
You have to register to see the codes. I used to promote a different site but he's not out to share the deals. This deal was posted yesterday on FB and it was deleted.

same price for Red Pock, except that Red Pocket has a monthly cycle. This is burst scenario that I already mentioned. If you have a need to burst beyond 3gb at any given time and not using data for the rest of the year, then this Tracfone plan suit you. But I don't think this is a typical user behavior.
