This is correct. Tracfone is only for light users. With Google Hangouts and WiFi, one can still can get a lot done with this plan.

All depends on your usage. personally I use most of my data on wifi so I would rather have 3 GB to use over a year instead of 250 mb a month where I might only use 100 mb one month and the next I need 1 GB for traveling.

No. I really, really like the tracfone flexibility of there not being a monthly quota. I like having the option of 600 minutes in a "busy" month.

Yes. TracFone customer service is terrible. That said, I have been with them for years and everything can be done without them. That is the trick, use their website for everything. If you are a heavy user then TracFone makes no sense for you. Their service is mostly for older people with low usage since the younger crowd seems to use their cell phones quite a bit. If you make a mistake and have to call customer service then you had better remain calm. One time I screwed up my account and customer service said "you no call back here ever again" LOL. Anyway, executive customer service in Miami took care of it.

I have an iPhone se bought from total wireless and never activated. I'm interested in using it with this TracFone deal, my question is 1) Would it work/activate no problem? 2) Would I get unlock from TracFone after 1year usage?

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Your model is totally incapable of using Verizon service.
With AT&T BYOP SIM`s Tracfone will not ask for the phones IMEI, so they will not know it is Tracfone branded and possibly say you cannot use a BYOP SIM in a branded Tracfone.

When purchasing a Tracfone or sister Company phone look for the models whose part number ends in DL. You will see the DL when on their site(s). When looking at the phone in the box, in place of DL you will see the code for the included service provider SIM. Tracfone is not very forthcoming in letting you know what service provider you get.

The DL phones have great flexibility since they have the radios for all three service providers, AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon. On average most Tracfones come with Verizon. The DL models automatically reset themselves when changing service provider SIMs.

Yes, order the Verizon SIM if you want what TW shipped with the phone originally.
Your phone is only locked for use outside of the Tracfone Family of Companies.
It may or may not be locked to Verizon... depends on the model.

My current Tracfone account has triple minutes. I understand these minutes don't triple. If I transfer my existing minutes to this sim will I lose my triple minutes on future loads?
