I've had the original for 3 years and never had an issue with it. It gets used about 10 times a year for "camping" and I used to live in a house that lost power a few times a year. This was enough to run furnace, fridge, and tv without an issue.

Tax might be a killer for some, but it's the lowest I've seen this for.

Why? Consumer Reports says it's pretty good.
Return the Predator, this Wen is hands down much better. Wen is Japanese engineered, these generators are super nice I bought one at about this same exact price last year when Home Depot had a sale.
