DiscountMags does not auto-renew magazine subscriptions.
My liberal friends think the Economist is too conservative.
My conservative friends think the Economist is too liberal.
I think that these views reflect on how Economist compares to whatever news source they follow, which is probably heavily biased liberal or conservative. I think it speaks well of the Economist.
What a great magazine...this is one that you can read for 10 minutes a day and be the smartest(-sounding) person in the room on about a dozen different topics.
Soooo are you on the left or the right side of the horseshoe?

Literally just signed up for a SlickDeal alert for this exact deal yesterday! My print subscription ran out 2 months ago, I recently downloaded the app and considered buying again but was stopped at the normal $150 per year price.
So in short, thank you for posting! Now I am back in for another year or likely more.
Worth noting that there are two ways to subscibe to Economist digital. This subscription is for full website access. There's another digial subscription that only gives you access to the weekly issues through the Zinio app.
I think the last Slickdeal for digital access was the Zinio version. This is a better deal.

It seems that I can add 3 one-year subscriptions to the cart at $47.99 each. Anyone know if there is a limit? This is to renew my subscription. Thanks!
Actually, the "discount lock" : As an additional benefit, you will be enrolled in our DiscountLock service, which will automatically renew your subscription at the same price so you never miss an issue or worry about paying a higher price. We'll notify you before your subscription renews, and you can cancel at any time.
I ended up with a free subscription to this that's been running for years now. I'm not sure how much longer it'll last but I thought it was supposed to end a could years ago. I still get it every week.
It's a terrific source of news and analysis. It's one of the few news sources worth reading.
Worth mentioning that you can do digital + print for $69.99. I had digital only and renewed via discountmags which racked on a year to my current digital subscription and 1 net new year of print

May I ask which "last deal" are you referring to?
There was a Memorial Day weekend sale (this past weekend) that had a digital-only and digital+print option. Same vendor.
