What'd a slicker deal is if you hand wash! Wink

Think of it this way, it takes 6 gallons of water to run a dishwasher. A typical faucet flow rate is about 2 gallons per minute. Can you wash a dishwasher worth of dishes in 3 minutes? You also save quite a bit of time by not handwashing.

Make sure to stack this with the 10% coupons off ebay and the gift cards on sale. Chase freedom is also giving 5% back in points this quarter if you don't want to go the gift card route

Doesn't this brand usually have a lot of issues with kitchen appliances?

Yeah, I have been eyeing this dishwasher since this deal was first posted on 5-17.
While a great price for a steel tub, low decibel dishwasher- reviews for Frigidaire appliances, especially their dishwashers, are less than stellar.
Has been keeping me from pulling the trigger. I'm sure when I change my mind and decide to buy it it will be OOS.

Yeah, I posted this deal a few weeks ago when I was looking to buy. I ultimately passed on this dishwasher due to lousy reviews and bought a Maytag with excellent reviews for $529.

do you also grow all your own vegetables, have a cow for milk, make your own cheese. Use the cotton you grow to make your own shirts?

do you cut your yard with a hand scissors to save on gas or having to buy a lawn mower? I suppose you walk everywhere you go because cars are expensive?

Hand washing is way less efficient than using a dishwasher. Not only do you have to consider the amount of water wasted but also the energy required to heat that water.

do you have a link to these reviews? I was reading the ones on Lowes' site and they seemed positive, although they were all within the last few months

I have this dishwasher in black stainless. I don't have a lot to compare it too, but I like it better than the whirlpool that came out of the house from 2009. It's quieter and cleans much better. I'm not a fan of the buttons on the top though since I cant see what options are chosen without opening the door.

What kind of detergent are you using? Do you ever have stuff that comes out unclean sometimes? I've found that with newer dishwashers they don't clean as well as the old workhorses.

I've just been using the dollar general brand type tide pods. Dishes definitely come out cleaner than they did from our old dishwasher. But I may not be the best to confirm how well it cleans vs others because MOST of my dishes have all the food scrubbed off them before they go into the washing machine. I need to see what happens if I stop doing that, but our old washer really worked so poorly that it was just a habit I made.
