Yes, but one slot only. I think 8GB is soldered to motherboard.

Flex has ips, 2 in 1 tablet mode I guess, and touchscreen. Only 1 year warranty.

Someone said thinkpad has mil spec, so it can withstand vibrations. I guess it's built to be a bit more durable for people who literally move around with it for work.
3 year warranty and thinkpad reputation.
Think pad doesn't list ips so it might be tn and have bad viewing angles.

If Thinkpad had ips, I would be all over it. Don't know how useful are touchscreen and 2 in 1 tablet mode.

It seems bad buying a laptop in 2019 without ips for the viewing angle. I read tn isn't worse than ips, tn just doesn't have as good viewing angles like ips.

All the other specs seem the same on the surface.

I bought this same exact one a few weeks ago from lenovo. The laptop is overall a good buy for the price. A lot of people complain of its 250 nits max brightness, but it should be fine for indoor use. The screen is an IPS display, but the colors are a bit washed out, so probably not good for accurate photo editing. The RAM inside is one single 16gb stick and according to cpu z for me, its plugged into slot 2 out of two (slot 1 could be empty?). For my use, the single 16gb ram is enough. The pcie ssd also allows for 7-9 boot time which is pretty good and the fingerprint scanner is accurate and fast. The fans on this are very quiet and efficient so far. As for temps, it can get pretty hot if you push it, but I have not experienced any throttling. I played two ~40 min games of league of legends on it at med-high settings and I stayed at 60fps 90% of the time. Unfortunately, This laptop cannot be charged via usb C. The battery on average lasts about 3-5 hours, maybe 2 hours if gaming. The laptop charges fast enough with its 6' 65w brick tip charger. It does not come with much bloatware. The build quality is pretty solid. The back top of the laptop has a matte rubber texture which is pretty nice to the touch. The hinges are durable and tight so it cannot be opened with one hand. I've been flipping it laptop - tablet mode constantly and it has held up well so far. The keyboard and touch pad and responsive and comfortable to use. The back lighting on the keyboard is good.(even lighting around the keycaps). The Lenovo Active Pen 2 works on this laptop and it works very well, except I have rare experiences with it where when I am writing or drawing something, it glitches and draws long straight lines. Im assuming it may be a palm rejection flaw, but I have not found a fix for this. The sound quality is above laptop average compared to my friend's x1 extreme gen 1. The bezel on the bottom could've been thinner, but maybe it is asking for too much.

PS: If anyone can help me with the line glitches for the Active pen 2, I'd appreciate it. I use the pen with One Note app.
