In case anyone is wondering, this doesn't charge via the usb c port.

Just got one, thanks! I've been casing this laptop for weeks. was hoping for some discount, but this is amazing, $80 off. going rate for weeks has been $529. plop in another 16gb stick of ram and you've got 20gb monster.

i was debating getting a "refurbished" x1 yoga on eBay, but at this price, this is a steal.

I've got no complants on the build quality. Actually thinking about buying a second for $450 vs the $529 I paid (slickdeals logic here). It's "soft touch" plastic mostly but also 1/3 the price of the macbook pro it's replacing. Did some memory and cpu benchmarks and performance looks fine.... slightly better than Core i5 in a 4 yr old macbook pro. The display brightness is the only week spot. It's just fine for indoor use.... not great outdoor. Access to the SSD and battery is pretty easy.

Oh man, just a little lighter and I would've been sold. Looks like a fantastic deal though. Might still go for it! Sweet deal, OP.

Yea this will do well at light gaming too, much better than intel integrated GPU.

Is there space for a bigger hard drive? I'm looking for a laptop that will handle some light video editing and light gaming (rocket league, steam in home streaming, etc...). Also, how is the keyboard on this? I would also be using it for writing and PowerPoint.

This looks damn nice. You can run the popular multi player guys on high. Very fast for normal stuff. and for the paranoid naysayers, you go and read the reviews.

I belive it only has one m. 2 slot so you'd just have to replace it with a larger NVMe drive or similar.

On the keyboard, it is backlit, kinda tight I read in a professionals review but totally doable, obviously wanna upgrade the RAM which is an easy process.

They probably marketed this wrong with the low RAM for this version and can't now "up it" to make it ready, off the shelve for tough newbie customers.

Deciding between this, and the 2500u 15.6" Dell from Rakuten for $320, with an $80 gift card, that would cover a 512gb M2 drive, along with an extra 4gb ram module.
Is the 3500u that much faster?

Just pulled the trigger once I noticed it came with a pen. Added bonus. Does anyone have a recommendation on what RAM to get with it? I'm not super versed in laptop RAM. Thanks!

I guess it gets close to an Intel Core i7-8550U with its performance.
