Editor's Notes & Price Research

This price matches the previous front page deal earlier this month.
*Please note, there is a field for "Purchase Price" I left this blank. It is optional, and I obviously paid a LOT less with a display model. I only mention this because I believe in my case, they didn't request to look at a receipt because of it being registered online.
I started chat with an online rep. They asked for photos of the issue, which I uploaded. Generally burn in will be exaggerated on SOLID colors in the darker spectrum. There are lots of Panel test youtube videos to help show this. Simply connect your TV to wifi and open the youtube app. Here is one that I used:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JeQuelXsUYA
3. After LG gets all the requested photos, someone on the OLED team will review these photos. This took 1 business day for me. At that point, someone will categorize the ticket.
4. I attempted to avoid calling my issue "Burn In" at all costs for fear that they would deny the claim. That did not seem to matter, as the Email I received about issue states "Image Burn or Image Retention".
5. A tech contacted me from LG direct service to let me know that the OLED panel has been ordered and directshipped to my house. When I get it, just call or text him and he would come out and replace it.
6. The tech came to my house and replaced the panel. My tech did not look at a receipt, the damage or anything. He was simply there to replace the panel. I helped him unbox it, was super thankful and sent him on his way with some beer. He was as happy as I was.

Before people start going crazy again, this is the B8 model, NOT the C8.

I need a TV to replace my 70 inch Vizio I killed by accidentally shooting it with a BB gun,... ya, one of the dumber things I've done in my life. But so many options. Go 75 as most dont make 70, but 75 are a hell lot more. Or go 65 for less money but better TV. Below 2000. Any recommendations?
Some people don't want to spend extra for the C8 when it's minimal differences. Best price I've seen for the b8 was 1449 with tax included. If this includes tax, nice deal

I just picked up a open box 65 E8 from microcenter for $1000+ tax (Duluth, GA). That one has burn-in which LG will honor by replacing the panel. Posting just in case there's a microcenter in your area that has any E8s left over and ofcourse you need to be ok going through the warranty thing with LG.
