It's a better drive it seems than the front page newegg deal - https://slickdeals.net/f/13251151-1tb-intel-660p-nvme-ssd-85-ac-nf
- as that intel one only goes:
Sequential Read Up to 1,800MB/s
Sequential Write Up to 1,800MB/s

so this is $25 more for a drive that runs at double the speed +5yr warranty.
This is the regular price for this item.....what's with the frontpage post? it is literally it's regular freaking everyday price has been for some time.

On a side note, I bought this drive and paired it with a cheap $5 PCI-E adapter. I use it as a boot drive on my Asrock Z77 extreme paired with a 3770K. I get 2938MB/s Read and 3017MB/s write. not bad for a system from 2012. Still my main rig.
The lowest price for the 1 TB Rocket is $99.99 at the beginning of the month.

Link to the previous deal (is still active with other sizes)

Amazon with Store4pc (by Sabrent) has this price for about two weeks.

This drive uses 64 layer 3D TLC NAND from Toshiba with Phison E12, which is similar to Inland Premium or Silicon Power P34A80, or etc.

Nice, how does it compare with Evo 970 and EX920 drives? This one a better drive, not considering price?

EX920 uses the 64 layer TLC NAND from IMFT and with SM2262 controller while Rocket uses E12. I will just for got this because the longer warranty, and will choose evo 970 if they have similar price (Samsung SSD is ony of the best SSD you can get but always comes with premium price).

Quote from /u/NewMaxx for your reference:

"If you're hell-bent on NVMe for a high-performance desktop but don't have heavier workloads, stick with the EX920/SX8200. Heavier drives (like this one, Inland Premium) have better sustained write performance - this includes the EX950/SX8200 Pro variants - and this drive (Inland Premium) in particular is made to handle higher IOPS and denser mixed workloads (quad-core controller). The E12 in this drive is paired with Toshiba NAND and usually has a high TBW (endurance) rating under warranty which also makes it good for specific cases."

FYI Inland premium is the same with Sabrent Rocket but just with different branding.

If you can get the SX8200 cheaper - go for it.
amazon has the XPG 1tb SX6000 for 119... this is comparable with the SX8200 which amazon has for $149
Edit: newegg deal is for 114.75 - the sabrent rocket is cheaper - and equal specs.

So I've a 512 Evo and a 1tb rocket. Speeds are comparable but the rocket runs much hotter. Daily functions you won't notice a difference as an OS drive. I threw a basic hestsink on the rocket and it seems to keep under 70 now.
